If you’re not ready to talk about a past painful experience openly and objectively, then it probably means you still have some more healing to do. Talking about your experiences with someone you trust can greatly assist the healing process. It helps you to own your past and accept it as a part of the person you are today. Imagine if you let go of just some of the pain, guilt or shame that you are carrying, how much lighter would you feel? How much space would it create in your life for new experiences?
If you are not comfortable with going into details about previous trauma or events, acupuncture can still be effective in giving you some emotional stability. The practitioner will be able to guide you on whether it’s time to address a certain emotion which has become imbalanced.
